Is Suicide biblical?

Seriously, I'm not joking. There is a CURE to suicide and depression and you are no longer on the waiting list!

The time is NOW!

At last, a real honest to goodness, authentic, no gimmick answer that will alleviate the inner turmoil that no one seems to understand.

I imagine that turning to others has been difficult in the past because everyone has their own thoughts and feelings about the issues you want to talk about, and after you've said it, the situation isn't the same. You feel judged, and misunderstood and let's face it the air is so thick with tension afterwards, you can cut it with a knife that you regret ever saying anything!

When you do finally find that person of trust, such as a trusted ally as in a friend, co-worker, or even therapist, it seems that they are not available to you when you need and when they are, there's no real substance to the conversation, it feels like your feelings are being tapped danced around and all you do is talk talk talk talk, with no resolve. It feels like your time, efforts and sometimes money are being wasted and all is just hopeless!

Let me be the first to tell you there's a difference between talking and dwelling and friend, the way to rid yourself of your current problem is NOT going to cost you an arm and a leg. You don't even have to save up to afford the help that YOU need!

My name is Shannon Gilmour and I'm a published Christian author and a proven Christian crisis outreach mentor of over four years of experience. God has NOT abandoned you. Believe it or not the stuff you are going through, He is not sitting on high up above taking delight in the demise that is all around you.

How do I know this? Because suicide and depression are not of Him. Many people have asked me over the years if suicide is biblical and if it isn't, then why are the answers not found in His word?

Let me explain why that is.

While the bible can be read as a book, it is a uniquely designed detailed map of not only historical and future FACTS, it is your road map to success. People have made the mistake of reading it as a piece of literature but the truth of the matter is, the bible IS God's word. The word of God is contained within this book and if you don't believe me, then just look at how over the years since it's inception it is a book that has withstood the test of time.

This book, inspired by God, written by men, is not a work from the heart of man. It comes to you straight from the heart of God because IT IS GOD. When you read the bible from a place of seeking Him, within the pages you will FIND Him and the answers to the questions that you seek.

It makes no difference how much or how little you have, as long as hope remains in you, this is a good place to start from because THIS is the power that enables all things-good things to happen to you. Well, I'm here to tell you that Some of the most influential people in this world, who were Christians just like you have had to over come or live with their fair share, you are not alone. I've been there too. We all have. The thing is that most people do not realize is that Christians are never guaranteed a life without hardships, the guarantee that is given to us is that we will overcome them, and how you can do that with a success rate that obliterates all traces of depression and suicide comes from understanding God's word.

But you are are still waiting and wanting to know when your time will be right? Well friends, we all can't be composers, dancers, scientists or leaders of tomorrow, but there's one thing we all have in common and that is your level of success comes from the level of determination and the level of determination comes from how much you are willing to dedicate yourself to getting what you need over what you want.

Through God all things are possible, but He never will put the cart before the horse.

I understand you want instantaneous, or spontaneous regeneration, and that will come but the change has to come from within. The heart is a mighty tool for authority and difficult to tame and in order for this step process to work, we have to work on your thought process, that your heart will grab a hold of and put forth into action. When you begin to see positive results from implementing this process, you will begin to develop a positive attitude that begins your lifestyle change.

That's what it's all about, a lifestyle change and helping you to implement lifeskills and coping mechanisims through God's plan and direction.

I'm here to bust the methodologies wide open for you to tell you that friend, there is no 'secret'. The solution is available to you, and you can have the life you want and deserve, but NOT without one important, influential and beneificial aspect.

God.

How much or how little you believe in Him is detrimental to you recieiving, achieving and maintaining your success.

Yes, we all have the faith of a mustard seed, but did you know that seed is one of the smallest, and if allowed to grow, it grows into a bushlike plant that birds actually nest in?

When I first began to study the issues of suicide and depression, I was extremely disturbed that the Christian community was falling victim, and what perplexed me even more was that believers were asking the right questions and looking to other learned Christians for solutions without finding any!

Why is that?

It's because we've been told that we can maintain our level of faith and keep it as small as a mustard seed. We don't have to do anything but just hang onto that and that is enough to get us by. Well are you just getting by? Yes, and just. I know, I've been there.

Suffering is hard, it's painful and it is NOT intended to be your life. It is only meant to last for a time, not your lifetime.

Do you have time for a quick bible lesson?

I'd like to explain to you the parable of the Talents:

Matthew 25:14-28 NIV

The parable goes like this: A man is called away on a journey and he entrusts his servants with his property. To one he gives five talents, to another he gives two and to yet another he gives one. ( A talent is a weight of precious metal such as silver or gold, and is (as closest to) the equivelent to the pound troy.) and each was given according to his ability. (This is very important to keep in mind)

What these servants did with the entrusted talents is VERY IMPORTANT because it is all relative to the faith as small as the mustard seed as I mentioned above.

The servant who had five talents, put his money to work immediately. and gained an equal share as what he was given. He doubled his money.

The servant who had two talents also gained two more and doubled his money.

The servant who had one talent dug a hole and buried his master's money and thus never gained anything in return.

Some lengthy time later, the master returned and settled the accounts with his servants.  The servants who were entrusted with their talents and gained a return pleased their master and were able to share in a richer reward. Scripture says the master shared his happiness. When one is happy they are willing to share their personal wealth, food and hospitality with others. They have an abundance and they generously share that abundance.

The servant who decided to keep and hide what he was given, thought that he was doing a good thing, but in actuality placed judgment on his master without knowing him and took matters into his own hands and was led by fear. The servant did not assume that this talent entrusted to him was his, but assumed that the master would possibly destroy what he had given to his servant.

The master chastized the servant harshly because the servant's faith in his master was based on what he saw, and what he saw as the master chastized he did not understand or even know. The master tells the servant had he placed the money in a bank, at least there would have been some return because the banks even have rules that they live by that the merchant can trust.

Still think that this parable is talking exclusively about money? Let's try replacing the word talent with the word, faith. Now do you see the picture?

I encourage you to read the full parable with the heart of faith behind the message, and may your heart shift as you begin to see the truth behind this message.

I  want to show you that there are answers to what's behind all the problems in your life and those answers can be found in scripture. It just takes some digging with a willingness to learn and patience to allow God to help you go the distance, and He will!

The teaching is nothing new, and is not another religion.

This method is all about a progressional lifestyle change and how much or how little you get out of it depends on you.

Just like the parable of the talents, you are the only one who can figure this stuff out with God's help if you are willing to invest the faith that is within you already to allow Him to do the work in you He needs to do.

*Hint, how our faith is taken away from us is by trials, they are used to strengthen us, or we can allow them to destroy what little 'talents' we have.
